A Dream Team was founded by Joseph Diele from December 25th, 2005 until April 23, 2006. Upon leaving the Roman Catholic experience of church, Joe was challenged by friends and former parishioners to begin a community and be its pastor. The Dream Team was first made of those first dreamers of another way to be church.
On Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 4pm, in The One Spirit Seminary on West 38th Street, off of 8th Avenue in Manhattan, our first Eucharist was celebrated. As of yet the ritual had not taken on the customs of the community. As time passed it became the expressed desire of the community that a morning service would be preferable to the 4pm time in the city.
On the first sunday of June 2006, the Eucharistic celebration was moved to its present site at 1002 East 98th Street, Brooklyn, NY. The service was held at 10:30am.
